We want everyone to relax, feel safe, and enjoy the countryside. Please help us by following these friendly site guidelines:

Peace & Quiet

  • Quiet hours are 10pm – 8am.
    Please keep noise and light to a minimum during these hours so everyone can enjoy a good night’s sleep.
  • During the day, music is welcome at a respectful level — nothing overbearing or likely to disturb other campers.

Driving & Access

  • Please drive slowly at all times on site.
  • Do not block roads, gateways, or access routes.

Dogs

  • Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, along with their humans!
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead while on site.
  • Dogs may enjoy our wooded dog walk, but please be aware that livestock are present in surrounding fields.
  • And please… scoop the poop

Fires & BBQs

  • BBQs and fire pits are allowed only if raised off the ground (by magic ✨ or, more realistically, a proper stand or platform).
  • Please never light fires directly on the grass.

Behaviour

  • Bad behaviour will not be tolerated.
    Please be respectful of others, the land, and the wildlife — be good or go home.

Groups

  • Organised groups only, by prior arrangement.
  • Group leaders are responsible for ensuring all members follow site rules.

Privacy & Safety

  • No drones, please — this is to protect the privacy and peace of fellow campers.
  • For everyone’s security, CCTV operates across most areas of the site.
  • For everyone’s security, the site may be monitored and staff may carry out occasional checks.

Boats & Trailers

  • No boats or boat trailers, please — we sadly have no room and no lake!

Spacing & Pitches

  • Please respect your neighbours and allow reasonable space between tents and units to maintain comfort, safety, and privacy.

Security & Safety

  • We do our best to keep Alston Farm Campsite a safe and welcoming place for everyone. However, guests stay at their own risk and we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, or injury. Please keep valuables secure and report any concerns to a member of staff.

Recycling & Waste

  • Please help us care for the countryside. Recycling and general waste bins are provided around the site — we kindly ask that all rubbish is disposed of correctly and not left on pitches.
